Competence Framework for Performance Consultancy

There are two requirements for someone to work

successfully as a performance consultant:

• SKILL or the capability to perform the role;
• SUPPORT or the working environment and systems that allow you to work in this way.

For success as a performance consultant both Skill and Support are needed; having only one is insufficient. Having all the ability in the world is of no value unless conditions are in place to allow that ability to flourish. The conditions for success as a performance consultant need to be provided by the organisation that they work for and so individually they have no control over it.

However, what the individual must take control of
is their own skillset and their own ability to
successfully fulfil their job role.
